This RMP film workshop was addressed to filmmakers with working experience in the audiovisual field, who wanted to improve their professional skills.
From January 4th to 29th, 2016, the European Film Center Babelsberg and its partner Kwetu Film Institute held the forth film workshop of Rwanda Media Project „Master class Documentary Film Postproduction“. The mentors Prof. Klaus Keil, Max Kerkhoff (editing) and Johannes Schmelzer-Ziringer (sound) helped the students to develop and pitch their projects. Three projects were chosen for realization:
MAHIU by Cake Mathenge, a short film that explores the symbolism and importance of cows in Rwandan culture and society.
INDWANYIKAZI by Idriss Gasana, a short film about the queen of Rwandan Taekwondo, Zura, wo is challenged by Aline, her national teammate who claims to be the best fighter and wants to take Zura’s place in the team.
MAKING OF RMP by Shenge Claudine Ndimbira follows the students of RMP’s Media Designer course and the participants of the master class on pitching and shooting their projects.
