Exciting news! Last week, the Kwetu Film Institute team were on location in Murunda for principal photography of GIZ/EnDev hydroelectric power plant project showcase film. We interviewed the people involved with the power plant project and those who are being affected by it in the village.

Over the three day shoot the key highlights included the interviews with Gregory Tayi and Justin Nturanyenabo, who discussed the origins of the power plant and business of the plant, as well as how it functions.

The team visited the plant to film how  the turbines generate power. We captured footage of how the power plant project has been beneficial to lives of the habitants of Murunda and how it has affected businesses: now that there is more reliable electrical power.
